We love dirt roads!

Spring in the North has been wonderful this year, and with weeks of pure sunshine the Screwdrivers' cars have seen a lot of use. This last Sunday was no exeption with a nice gravel road cruise with a pair of "oneowneralloriginal" cars; 1961 T2 and 1952 T1.

Ådalsbruk Motormuseum

A cool little gatheringpoint for everyone into old cars and nostalgia.
The cars on display are constantly shifting, but the owner has his private collection of NSU cars and motorcycles on permanent display.

A little info, only in norwegian though:

Summer is here!

Washed the storagedust of this old lady and took her out in the sunshine to get icecream. Happy easter holidays!

Dream garage...dream house....or both?

Some of the Screwdrivers are looking forward to moving into new house very soon....all others look forward to the house warming party...

The "Unimog" house concept was unfortunately known to us at the time of starting the build....but here is inspiration to anybody wanting to combine their hobby and their life....and wife?

Check it out:

About 15 years ago we were standing in a warehouse in Arizona shaking our head over the price tag of an unrestored fourcam motor....20K USD was "more than a driving 356" at the time and seemed crazy for just a motor.

Well...I am not sure what better stocks at NASDAQ we could have bought...but surely the Fourcam would have been a great investment - and we could even have had some fun with it on the way.

Let's see where this one ends - 3bids and no reserve is always a good thing.

13 Jan update:
Got to 154K USD, then deleted....same story...

What "financial crisis" ?

Fascinating stuff...

"Clearing out the yard" all of a sudden became very profitable for this houseowner in upstate New York... We look forward to seeing #83385 on the road again very soon.

Taking the road less travelled..

Is usually a good way to start when you want to search for cool stuff. But sometimes the best hiding place is right in plain sight. As was the case with this cool 1950s Ljungmans Star 76 fuel pump. Sitting in front of a farm right next to a heavily trafficked road we must have passed it a zillion times over the years. By pure coincidence we spotted it this weekend, and naturally we had to stop by and ask if it was for sale. Surprised by our question, the farmer said he thought about tearing it down for scrap within the next few days..
Well, obviously it came home with us on the trailer.
So keep your eyes open, cool old stuff is still out there.
Oh, and always bring a trailer ;-)
